I edited the original post and added pictures of what the tire looked like. Everything is good now. Sitting on some new Bridgestone POTENZA RE-01R and the thing is riding great. No damage to my BBS thank god!

Send the pics to Falken and ask them. Perhaps there's a bad run of tires and/or known defects.

Thanks for letting me know what type of tire to stay away from. Sorry for the tough time you had.

Pops works in tire manufacturing- this is a defective tire that should not have passed through quality control

it's missing one. like I said I'd lost the lug key and had to have the locks removed after the tire failed. So I had the lock taken off of each wheel to get replacements.
