Stock Evo VIII Wing Question
Which models or years come with the full carbon fiber wing so that you could sand down the outsides and clear them?
We have an 04 and it seems to be plastic on the outsides..... So i was wondering which ones have the full cf wings.

i got my viii w/ the paint off the sides and already cleared(all carbon fiber)
but i did not like that look so i went ahead and resanded the clear and rattle canned it rallyred
but to each its own

Pretty sure is only the 03's and very early 04's That have the full carbon sides. My 05 has the carbon wing and insides, but the outside part to the wing are plastic. Or at the best, very plastic feeling in sound and the push factor.

My wing has been fullu cleared. My production date is 4/04. So I would that would make a late 04. You can see a lil of the over lay but doesnt look bad at all. It makes it so you cant see the wing at all at night.

My wing is an 04, that is now flacking. I would like to sand and refresh the clear coat. Does anyone know the process of doing this. I would hate to ruin my wing. If its too much I could take it to a body shop but I would like to give it a shot first.
