Thinking of buying an Evo

can anyone explain the difference between the evo 7 and 8? i know the 8 is the newer one with all the new upgrades, and stuff. but can you still get the 7?

what did eveveryone pay?
the local dealership quoted like 42k for it...

I've owned audis for.... a long time. but looking to switch, so... please welcome me. hehe ! YEA

you can still get 7's that are imported, but i think for some reason they are illegal. you may want to do a seach on this site on Evolution Imports. there is much debate over it.

As for the Evo itself, get one. You'll thank yourself.
Don't pay 42k for it either. Shop around, you can find a dealership somewhere willing to sell you for MSRP or below.

Less Thinking and More Buying

The Evo 7 was/is only available in Japan and Europe, it's not street legal in the USA so you don't have much of a choice, it's the Evo 8 or nothing....unless you want a Mirage with an Evo 6 Bodykit and 4G engine swap.

$29995 is MSRP, I wouldn't pay anything more than $31,000.....$42,000 is crazy, that's how much they would cost if they were in Canada.

If you loved the AWD, feel and handling of Audi's, you'll love the Evo 8.
