HIDs???

Does the US Version have true HIDs or just regular hologen bulbs?

WTF????????????

Well why in the hell is my stupid **** dealership say that, NOPE YOU ONLY HAVE STANDARD HALOGEN BULB????? Damn I have stupid freaking dealships...

the low beams are HID...the fog and high beams are reg (halogen)....

speaking of hid's...anyone replace the high-beam and fog lights with HID's? if so...where can I get them?

Aftemarket HID has been banned from any and all US sales by our beloved government. No one sells aftermarket HID anymore. it is a federal crime to do so.

Yes, they're true HID's. Honestly, it's my favorite 'little quirk' feature on my EVO . Heck there listed as options on many luxury cars. There's such a distinct difference between true HID and HID look-a-like bulbs.

Anyway, you can get replacement HID look-a-like bulbs to match at

I just wanted to make sure that they were. I had an 2002 M3( had to upgrade to the EVO ) And my HID's looked whit with a little blue. THe one in my EVO start off blue but fade to an ugly yellow

When and how did this ban go into effect? I've been using an aftermarket HID kit for two years. Why are many websites still selling aftermarket kits?

it's a waste to replace ur high-beams with HIDs since u will break them. Unless they make H11 HIDs, ur out of luck for fog light HIDs unless you want some custom fabrication to your headlight housing.

From what I've read around here, EVO HID's aren't the same wattage/quality as BMW, Lexus, Etc. That's why you notice more of a yellowish tint.

my HID's are always WHITE/light blue since i took delivery 3/29 and i've had it for 9k miles!
