Alright will do. I will take it by Mitsubishi and see if they can give it a look over for me. Thanks for your input guys. Maybe they'll let me take her home for a weekend or something..

I would try and talk it down a little too. I just bought a 2003 RR with almost the exact same mileage for $17,500. Also something else to pay attention to that I didn't is the heater temperature control knob. Check to see if it is hard to turn mine was jammed and it is a $800 fix! It is actually a TSB.

... Also the SRS light may not be on, he may have just not given it enough time to clear. When yo turn the ignition on it stays there for a good 5 sec or so. It is possible that it is not actually on.

yellow evos are growing on me... but it seems pretty nice i would recommend a full view of the car like.. check under the car all the spots you usually won't check. I'm just really picky these days when buying a car that's used.

Too many miles. When looking for a evo you need to find info and pics like I have posted.
Not trying to be a plug *****, but its very easy to find a lemon, or beat evo.
Also that price is too high for a 03 with that many miles.

agreed, got mine for 17.5 as well, my knob broke on me and its expensive to replace, there was a bulletine out for this problem see if it got brought in on it, if not its a 7 hour labor job to fix it and it can be kind expensive around 800-900, its caused because there is no in-cabin air filter causing stuff to get gummed up. If the knob isn't broke yet its around 300 less to fix because you won't need a whole new hvac unit so if it is hard to turn don't mess with it until you get it fixed cause its easy to snap!! trust me

get a pic of the intercooler on the engine side, if there are dings in it its possible they were messing around with a new turbo in it

one other thing check the clear finish on the wing and the breaks because it can go bad and flake off

good luck with the purchase just don't rush buying an evo, people can abuse them

I'd never buy a 03 with 50K miles. You have no idea what it went through. If I were you, save a few bucks and look for a nicer example. Good luck.

Yea, I have an '03 OZ, same interior but the heater knob is hard to turn too. Sorry to hear you had to pay that!!!! Jeez, why did it cost so much?! I think it cost less money to put an entire AC system into my dad's '88 european Toyota Corolla. btw has 270,000 miles! Imports ftw

If you know anyone that know these cars or someone off the board take them with you, they will know what to look for.
