You shouldn't be looking at used cars, at all, if that's an issue. You'll face that question with any newer pre-owned car you'll come come across. You're constantly asking which car is better, raising somewhat unusual objections, and are generally unsure of your chosen path. Perhaps the Evo isn't the right car you?

Chances are if you are scared by those things you should really be scared when you pop the hood! LOL JK Really owning an Evo requires a special (not window licking special) kind of person and not everyone is that kind of person. Sure it might be cool to say "I own an Evo" but thats not why most of us own one. And the majority of us do our own work to some extent and we knew more about our cars then the sales person we bought them from, especially if purchased new. I am guessing that you are a younger person and these cars are not often seen in your area? It would be nice to be unique again.

op, no disrespect but i think you're making something out of nothing. buy the car!!
if you genuinely have a bad feeling about the car then move on and find another otherwise if its priced right... go for it

stop asking us these questions and ask yourself these questions:
do i feel right with it?
am i willing to give my left nut for it?
is this the car i really want?
am i ready for the responsibility? (cuz with great power comes great responsibility....dont go around street racing everyone and give us evo owners a bad name...there's a reason civics and accords and scion xb's exist)
and lastly...will i look back on this purchase and regret it?
