What do you think?..
So i was up at the mitsu dealership today.
Once i got there, 2 evo8's facing each other was at the entrance way. Thought to my self, wow... Hope it isn't too expensive.
Took a look a the price tag and one was $36,000 and the other was $35,000.
A sales person came out. Asked if i was interest, indeed i was.
I told him, i've been lookin around the net, and all i've seen was prices no more then $30,000. He said the net doesn't inclue taxes and all. But i asked $36,000 for a evo8? Come on bud. He said he could be me $32,000. I said, can we negotiate on the $32,000 pricing. He told me that we. I just need to bring my dad in for the chat.
I do have a 98 honda accord, still owe $8,100 on it. And i'm currently 17, about to turn 18 in 10 days.
The guy said he could possibly do me $31,000 with taxes.
What do you think?...
How much did you pay for your evo?
Thanks

ouch 35k...
i'm 18. i got my ev ofor a graduation pressent.
man... i was sooo f@#kin happy. (still am)
the first day the dealer got the evos they were sellin them for 35k +
about a week later i went over there again with my father and talked to them, suddenly the price went from 35k so 31k to $30,200 or so.
we traded in our crapped out honda accord ( which we were gunna sell anyhow )
and purchased a tarmac Evo VIII (w/o sunroof, they didn't have one with the sr)
I still gotta fricken grin on my face.
I say talk them down even more!!!
$30,500 should a good enough price for an evo w/ sunroof, spoiler, Recaro seats, Enkei rims, yokohama advan tires, brembos, blah blahblah. (the 9 yards)

Do it right: get the invoice pricing off kbb.com and work with them from there. An adequate dealer profit over invoice is about $1000-$1500. Keep in mind they have already collected a holdback fee from Mitsu to keep the car on the lot for a certain period of time. There is absolutely no reason for dealers to be marking these cars up right now.

I was also 17 turning 18 when I got mine as a graduation present. I paid some of it and I'm making some payments to my mom still.
But I got mine for about 32,500 out the door, after taxes and all that. I got it when they were a bigger deal than they are now. so for today 30,000 or lower sounds right.
Still smiling
EDIT: Looked at the original post again. I guess 31,000 is pretty good, but it is possible to find better.

Bill Penney Mitsubishi in Huntsville, AL quoted me $28,860+tax for a silver EVO with sunroof and carbon fiber wing. They currently have every color. Seems they're not flying off the lots here in Alabama. With the prices you guys are quoting you could fly here, drive home, and still save. Another thing, the dealer babies all of them for 300 miles of break-in before they're put on the lot for test drives. They're ready to fly! Oh, and my salesman was a middle-aged white guy named Bruce Lee, no kidding. If you come get one tell him Dan K. sent you so I'll get $50 bucks toward mine!

I got mine fully loaded for 29,100 before taxes and tags. No dealer fees, nothing. Love the guys I did business with, when the Evo IX comes out, if I dont have a bundle of parts on my VIII, I'll go right back to them. My car was 30,900 OTD.
