0-150 mph - time?
I had a huge clearing on the road today.... it took a freaking lifetime for me to finally hit 145mph when I had to back off due to traffic.
I had timed my Cobra last weekend and even with a misshift into 5th, I got there in 28 seconds..... (i hit 130 in 16 seconds vs the 25-26 the Evo takes).
Anyone time their car from 0-150mph? 0-150 seems to be the new measurement in Car and Driver.
The new E55 can do it in about 24 seconds!!!!! DAMN!

I dunno how long it took, but I hit 155 in the EVO the other day. I was racing a VETT on the highway. Anyway, it didn't seem like it took that long at all really. Its was pretty cool out though and I have a Vishnu TB so that probably helped. If I had to guess, from around 60 MPH to around 150 was 10 to 15 seconds probably closer to 15.

ya.... 0-60 = 5 seconds 0-150 = 40+ seconds.....
So... that would make your trip from 60-150 something like 35-40 seconds.....
I did look up a new 340hp S4 does 0-150 in about 34 seconds.... they have 6 speeds and more hp/torque though....

Motor Trend's June 2003 tested the Evo in the standing mile: 0 to 142.4 MPH in 35.1 seconds... So I would guess something over 40 seconds for 0 to 150 for a stock Evo...
And of course, you'll need more than a mile of straight road to get there.

Ok fellas,
I stand corrected. I did some 60 to 120 runs(99% humidity). They were just a little north of 20 sec. Could not get any 150 runs.
Anyway, with those numbers I would say probably around 35 to 40 secs to 150mph from 60. Like Scot said.
I dunno what I was thinking with 15secs.

The Evo is way short on HP and aerodynamics for this kind of race.

I will have to try and look up some stats..... I don't recall ever seeing a 0-130mph for the M3.
I have seen 0-150 in roughly 30-32 seconds depending on the day they do the test..... at some point C&D claimed to get 28.X with a SMG M3, but I think that was probably a typo.
I think i saw our cars at about 28 seconds for 0-130...

This is from the CAR & DRIVER Website.....they had a test car for 40k miles. It appears that outside of the intial launch advantage, the Evo will walk all over the Evo (0-130 in evo = 28 seconds vs 21 for M3). Trapspeed is up 3-4mph on the Evo in the Qtr also.

One the race track I was keeping up with and passing a lot of new M3's. they are pretty good on the straight but I could break a TON deeper and carry more speed out of the turns. The new M3 is not slow and I think it will kill the evo over 100.
