vortex generators

i have been interested in getting that vortex generators for my evo viii. on evomoto it says that its taped on with 3m tape. im wondering if this will hold, ive had bad experiences with 3m double side tape and my friends the same problems. it doesnt last.... im also wondering if anyone had any problem with it? thanks guys!

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Installed right - no issues.

Just make sure you do it when its above 60F and low humidity. Its also a good idea to strip the wax off the paint where the tape will be.

Definitely use prep. I put a trunk spoiler on without prepping it well and it fell off 3 days later. Lesson learned.

you need to wipe this 3m wipe stuff (i forget what its exactly called) where the tape is going to be it will never come off after that.

and...after using that wipe does it affect the car in any way...if i EVER plan to remove the vortex generators

go to your local auto parts place. goo gone will take the tape right off.

make sure your roof is cleaned...that means no wax etc... let it settle for 24 hours first. To test the VG just pull up on the fins and if it doesnt budge its not going anywhere. We have painted VG's on sale if anyones interested

Excellent choice. I used some alcohol wipes to clean the surface before applying the vortex generator to the roof. It's stuck like chuck now.
