Isn't it bad to have backfire? If I can remember, someone said it actually hurts the engine for backfiring? Just curious.....

My car will do it on every now and then. I've had friends tell me I've shot flames, and I've also seen a few orange flashes on dark backroads behind me when I downshift or hit the limitor by accident on an upshift. Sometimes I'll come out of a corner and the tires will spin and I'll hit the limiter by accident and see a flash in my rear view

It's fun, but I wouldn't MAKE the car do it through a tune. If it does it cool. If it doesn't ehh, oh well.

I wish mine would backfire and shoot flames.....

but, I guess she's just tuned to perfect.

or it could be lean, but wideband looks good, so I doubt it.

F430, Gallardo, Zonda and such cars make cool blue flames when driven hard. They don't make the thunderous pops and bangs turbo cars make though.

Sparkplug up your ...

Nah I was just wondering what all the stuff is that affects backfires in general.

Even when watching movies on youtube, you can see an evo standing at the 1/4 mile christmas tree and sitting on 2 step like it's World War 2...
