Did you pay with your checking account or credit card? If you used your credit card through paypal call your bank. I have had probems in the past and paypal has been of little to no help. Nice handle by the way

And I would contact one of the moderators on here also.................

Can you say who it is so others can avoid this member? As for your issue make sure you contact paypal and tell them what happened, as far as I know they are pretty good about fraud protection.

I'd start by filing a claim with PayPal and then with your bank. Good luck.

Never paypal anyone anything without a way to contact them -- outside of PMs and emails.

I don't paypal money to anyone for anything unless I get their name and phone number first - then talk to them on the phone - preferably a home phone.

One additional level of safety is to ask them to send you a paypal invoice for the product from a verified paypal account. When you get the invoice to pay them, it will have their name and verified shipping address in it -- so you're good to go (assuming the paypal account isn't hacked).

Your only recourses are contact PayPal - but you might be out of luck there. Or track down the seller directly. Hopefully you have his phone number or full name and at least the city where he lives... right?

pay pal really needs to look at a better way of protecting buyers.....they protect the seller real good but crews over the buyer like in this instance. Paypal works on a feedback system so one thing you can do is leave a bad feedback to warn other buyers.

How long has it been? How many times have you tried to contact the seller? File a claim with paypal. Paypal is usually really good about situations like that.

Paypal sucks. If the scammer transferred the money from his Paypal account to his bank account, Paypal has no way of recovering the money, leaving the buyer screwed.

Never pay Paypal with anything other then your crediti card. Paypal sucks at recovering any money, but your credit card company on the other hand can get you your money back.

Report it with paypal. There was an exhaust that I ordered from a company that kept saying that they almost had it and would be sent in a couple days, for a month. I reported it to paypal and I didn't get screwed. They went right after the seller and had them give me a full refund.
