Exposing cf on spoiler
ive searched the "how-to" thread but pics didnt come up for this. i got a bby VIII and i know the wings are cf, but mine is matched painted, can someone give me instructions on how to expose the cf. i know you need to sand and clear but i dont know what grits to use and whatnot.

wet sand, wet sand, wet sand. Start at 600 and keep going till higher (800,1000 +) until it is smooth and paint free, then get it clear coated.
Personal opinion. It looks ugly. Only tarmac black can pull this off and look good.

^^^ Thats what the + is all about.
Adding cf trim looks nice. That is what the middle of the spoiler will do, compliment the cf on your lip. You want to add other cf pieces look into the exhaust shield, the plate inlay, the bumper ducts etc...
Like I said, thats my opinion, just search the bby picture thread and make sure you like the look before you spend a lot of hours on this project.

I just did mine last night. It was a long, tedious procedure.
I started with 80 grit to get through the clear. Moved to 180, then 320, then 600 then 1000. There are a few sand scratches, probably from the 80 grit, but it turned out suprisingly well. I"m going to wet sand and buff it once the clear cures a bit. I love it.
I agree with sikrsix, only Tarmac Black can pull it off
