+1 for extra tank of gas in your trunk, it is your cheapest alternative. A fuel cell in the trunk would probably not retain the stock fuel gauge, furthermore just having the fuel cell you would not retain the stock fill location. This would at least alleviate the need to stop at the gas station all the time, and it would retain the stock fill location and stock fuel gauge Get your self one of those nice canister ones like the F1 guys use.
+1 to fast cars hide when your driving an Evo. Bring out my near stock S13 and I come across every fast car in the state.

if it helps at all i think usdm evos got a bigger fuel tank than the rest of the world (14.5 vs 12 irrc). i remember seeing that somewhere.
get a dd, and quick racking up miles on your evo.

I think your only option is to replace your gas tank with a 20 gal fuel cell: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...-1&showValue=1
but that kills your trunk space.
Alternative, buy a smaller 3 or 5 gal one and rig it up to feed your regular tank: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...-1&showValue=1
In both cases though, you would have to fill it up separately most likely.

We had a shop car with a 10 gallon cell in his trunk but he had it setup to gravity feed into the factory tank. He replaced the factory fill hose leading to the stock tank and rerouted it to the cell and capped off the factory fill inlet on the factory tank. Not sure if you can follow me there.
Basically, he ended up with 10 extra gallons in the trunk feeding into the stock tank and a single fill which filled both. Since it was gravity feed, the gauge read full until the tank in the trunk had gone dry and he started to use the gas in the factory tank at which point it began to read the actual amount of gas in the factory tank.
The trunk mounted tank was custom and had a depression at it's lowest point forcing all gas to the bottom and into the factory tank. It was made so that it fit behind the factory trim in the rear and had he not said something we would never had known it was there.

I can understand the want for a slightly bigger tank. I drive to my girls house 190 miles round trip most weekends. The distance isn't bad, it's the fact that I can never manage to do less than 80 or more on the highway which brings my milage down pretty bad. So I'm at a 1/4 tank when I get home and I hate filling up twice in three days. Especially out here in MA where it's cold still.
I like what Broxma was talking about, a gravity tank that fills into the original tank but it's filled from the one outside spot. That would give me a 24 gallon tank which with my average milage I could work out almost 500 miles between fill ups...okay, more like 400. Haha
