Try to see if there's anything on the back of the container. If not, then Google would be your best friend.

I think the acetone may have eaten the clear layer on the lens causing it to fog up. Are you sure its not just condensation on the inside? Show some pics.

You may be able to wet sand the lens and restore it. Show some pics so we can diagnose it better.

I have one last resort for your gauges, if this doesnt work then consider it permanent cause I wouldnt know any other way. First, go to a car paint vendor (see yellow pages) and ask for a rubbing compound made by 3M its called 3000 Extra Cut. The grit on the compound is 3000 which is really fine(do not use anything lower than 3000, too rough). This is what I use for clear plastic headlights when they get old and blurry. The 3000 grit buffs it out to a shine and it fully restores the clarity of the old plastic headlight lens. Make sure you use microfiber cloth for buffing and see how that works. I promise you that 3M 3000 Extra Cut Rubbing Compound will be a constant household product in your garage.

You can clean it by replacing it. Sorry dude, but that stuff ruined your gage faces.

only way to fix it is to polish the plastic you chemically etched the plastic with acetone

when people have foggy headlights (fading, sun damage, etc..) there are ways to make them new again.. i'd do a little research on that. or hell, could you just go without plastic over ur gauges?

try to polish them like stated above, but if that doesn't work time to replace them.

Unless there was nail polish on your gauges, I'm not sure why you would have even thought to use acetone to clean them.

The plastic polishing compounds for headlights might work to restore the finish. If they don't, you'll likely have to replace the lenses.

Sorry bro, what you have done is called "chemical crazing" the acetone reacts with plastic and creates a very brittle, very foggy looking result. Even if you try to polish it out you will have very brittle lenses on your gauges.
