New Evo IX Owner; already having issues.

Nope, no warranty. Its AS-IS. Like I said, if it turns out im screwed on this I will be trading it away. Im not going to deal with the headache of replacing anything. I just want to exhaust all of my options before I go broke attempting to fix this.

Yeah, but from the dealer I bought it from there was nothing. They seem pretty reluctant to fix anything on it, being 500 miles away doesnt help either. All they can really do is a write a check...

I had the reverse light problem when I got mine with 4000 miles. Dealer fixed it. The mechanic said the switch was corroded. He asked if I put a new clutch in, because he had seen it happen after a clutch replacement. I told him I sure hope not. I find it unlikely that the first owner had to replace the clutch with less then 4000 miles and no mods.

Hmm, I may have them check that out too. Just got the word from the dealer this morning, they are going to replace the TC under warranty.
Yeeehaw, now I just need to fix the other 2 minor issues and im good to go.

Congrats void..
Glad they are taking care of it for you.
Now just get an oem MR bov and take that hks off.
And the reverse lights should be an easy fix.
then you're good to go..
good luck..
and BTW: I would probably get a good tuner to put it on the dyno and check the tune..
There's no telling what the orig. owner did.. , and it will be alot safer down the road.

An '06 with 43k is still under warranty. If I were you, I would look over the car very carefully, find everything wrong with it and take it to a Mitsu dealer. Make them fix everything and don't bother with where you bought it.

Ok, so I just took a look at my diff fluid. Its bone dry, empty. They said I was ok to drive and they had that fixed. I've been driving it for a couple days now, im really worried. What should I do? I called the dealer and they said they will have the tech that worked on my car give me a call back.

I think you need to learn how to work on cars. Buying a used car of any kind, will have it's issues and usually are easy to fix. Changing fluids, spark plugs, filters..etc. should be 101 for anyone buying a High Performance Car. You can buy Diaqueen from numerous places and should take a whole minute to fill your res.
Expecting a dealer to change all fluids, filters and give it a tune up, on a used car is unheard of, unless you buy a Lexus. Most used car are washed and detailed, put on the lot with a for sale sign, period.
