i have a question about cf turnk with wing?
just like title says
i am in the process of purchasing a WW evo and i want to do a cf trunk but keep the stock evo wing with it.
i was wondering who has it and how you guys have done it. If it needs only 3m tape or drill holes.
also if holes are drilled is it very difficult to do?
thank you guys

Unless you want to cut the studs off of the factory wing and risk the wing flying off at high speed, you need to drill holes. I used a dremel and a sanding cone bit to start each pilot hole in the cf trunk.
A bit like the one pictured on the far left...
I made the pilot hole as big as I needed. Then, I started drilling out the holes with regular drill bits. Start off with a small bit and work your way up until you reach a bit that is the same size as the hole you made with the dremel. The reason for using the sanding cone is because you run the risk of splitting and cracking the clearcoat with a drill bit. The sanding cone will quickly and easily sand through the layers of clearcoat and carbon fiber without damaging anything. I also used double sided 3M tape in the same spots on the wing that is has from the factory. The tape probably isn't completely necessary, but I figured it wouldn't hurt.

If you have money, you can make anything happen...
Varis comes with full CF trunk that definately weighs way less than stock, but would set you back about 4 grand total with their wing, and if you throw in another a grand and a half and you can prolly order as dry carbon, to save few more ounces lol
