headlamps

Those of you owners without HID headlamps,is the height adjustment switch still mounted on the dash like the HID cars?Thanks

^ So so the HID ones lol. On the non-hid I think it's a tray not sure though.

I've found a ratchet and 10mm socket to be the easiest way to adjust non-HID Evo headlights.

So all Evo VIII's and IX's without HID's do not have the thumbwheel switch on the dash?

no mine still has the thumb wheel also and its a non HID ix... the thumb wheel just doesnt do anyting, if you look its not plugged into anything

seriously, i thought on the 9 it was just missing. thats stupid to put it there if it does nothing

yeah ive been rolling it ever since i got the car trying to figure out what it did, then i asked my friend with an MR and he said it adjusted his headlights so i tried it at night on mine and didnt work, so then i pulled it apart and theres nothing plugged into it... weird that mitsu would put it there

there is a manual adjustment on the backside of the headlight but we still have the knob inside what does nothing

If i didnt have HID's id still want the switch so its one less thing you gotta buy if/when you switch to HID i guess

even if you switch to HID's it still doesnt work... you need the MR headlight with the electirc motor adjustment for the switch to work

Ohhhh...Hmm i just got my evo 11 days ago but i was under the impression it is completely stock but i have the roller switch and hids and its not an mr

ooo hmm guess you got lucky and the previous owner had HID's installed for ya... i love the look of mine, even though that knob does nothing haha
