Another way is to park your car next to expensive car such as a mercedes, bmw and lexus. Avoid those old junk car. Try to avoid parking next to a SUV too.
People who drive an expensive car will be careful when exiting the car or entering the car. They don't like to scratch their car.

damn bro... sorry to hear that... i usually try to park in well lit areas very close and visible from the front of the store instead of far away where it's isolated and far from the public visibility.

The less cars you park near, the less chance there is for somebody to accidentially open their car door into you or back into you.
Parking VERY far away from others can attract undue attention. But it will also take your car away from the idiots who will open their doors into yours. And after all, that is the stupidity that accounts for like 99% of the damage one gets in a parking lot.
I have always parked away from everyone else with all the nice cars I have/had. I have now bought and sold 3 cars without as much as a door ding on any of them.
A hot car will attract attention no matter where it is parked. So blending into the crowd by parking with everyone else will offer you little protection. Remember, the people out looking for trouble are seeking cars that look like ours.

just don't drive your car in malls, grocers, foodmarket and just use it for pure pleasure of driving. even going to the bookstore is pure invitation for some vandalism. somehow people view the huge evo wing as a phallic symbol and yes they are very jealous

Also if you park next to other vehicle, always use the spot on passenger side, because passenger is not always there while driver is. So less risk of getting hit by passenger door. It's just a probability theory
And yes wings do attract unwanted attention. 2 yrs back I had an Impreza RS coupe that came from factory with wing already big enogh. Some ***** ripped it off the trunk at night. No big deal, I got over it and put even bigger STi wing!

Don't wash your car! Let it build up a nice crusty layer of dirt! Then it will blend in. You might get the occasinoal "Wash me" scratched into the dirst and paint, but then you've got their fingerprints!

People have no respect these days, they also don't have a clue as to how to drive and how to slowly open their car door and not let it open all the way. Another thing is that parking spots are too small these days with everyone driving an effing Hummer or some other huge SUV (which they can't even park) it is inevitable that no matter where you park some F%&K will hit you!!!

you guys forgot to touch upon one thing, the fact that once you leave your car, these nice cars you park next to can drive away and some piece of ****, or ******* could park next to you instead and something could happen. Too bad you can't carry a wireless survalience cam around with you
I try to park away from cars but close enough to a main "street". At the mall, for example, I park away from everyone but still near where all of the cars can pass. That way, it's away from everyone else and it'd be too obvious for anyone to walk up to it and do something.
