This weekend I instaled a K & N Cone filter on my evo that is 4 1/2" inlet 5 7/8" base 6" long and 5" top. The sound it makes is a really Loud sucking sound..... Now the Filter on my Eclipse is a K & N without the center hole for air flow it is bigger and doesn't make a sucking sound mostly all you hear is the turbo..... I like the way the eclipse sounds better I was wondering does the size or shape of the filter have any effect on the sound it makes.... I was thinking a smaller filter is more restrictive then a bigger one so it has a louder sucking noise..... Where the bigger filter is less restrictive and has little to no sucking noise just turbo wine....
