I'm a newbie, in more ways than one...so hello all.
Since most of us have done or intend to do either some form of datalogging and/or tuning with an EMS then it means one will be doing it from a wideband a/f.
Therefore, both should be compatible.
The AEM standalone EMS would work splendid with an UEGO gauge but in the case of another management like Utec, other gauges would sooth it better.

I plan to do a tune with Ecuflash. I've seen that innovative a/f gauges has an Ecuflash support.
Does anyone know if Ecuflash can use Uego???

I just bought a UEGO for my DSM, have no need for one in my Evo just yet. I decided on it because it was cheaper then the Autometer equivalent that would have matched the other Autometer Phantom Gauges I have on the car. I don't know where you are seeing one for cheaper, because I looked for quite a bit, unless you are looking at a narrowband, which I must say is pointless. A narrowband A/F gauge is useless and a waste of money.

There's a few threads on here about one guy who tried the Autometer wideband and he didn't have good luck. A lot of people here think Autometer=Fail, and the AEM seems to be favored by a lot of tuners, so I say go for it.

The AEM gauges are great. I've used them twice and they all worked flawlessly. As for having a bunch of them in your **** pit, I think all the digital numbers from 3 or more gauges bouncing around gets annoying and can get hard to distinguish which gauge you're looking at.

AEM Uego is directly supported in Evo Scan for logging. ECU Flash is a flashing application for the stock ECU, it doesnt log. You need to connect the serial out from the gauge to a 9 pin serial connector (Radioshack $2.00).

Same here. I don't mind the turbo gauge too but it's dang expensive so I got the swoosh gauges. They looks decent and works fine. I plan on getting two more swoosh gauges. Probably a oil pressure and Tach that will beep when I hit 7K rpm
