Trying to sell Evo 8
hi guys I'm wanting to sell my eVo 8 but I'm deciding what I should ask for it. I purchased it in June this year and I have currently 4613 Miles on it. It is Rally red with a Carbon Fiber factory Spoiler on it. Other than that it's like that rest. What do you think I can get for it?

Here's my list of questions for you
1) Whats wrong with it?
2) Why are you selling it?
3) Are you willing to bargain because a lot can happen in those 4000 miles?
I recall someone saying he sold his evo for 24K with only 2000 miles on it.

i think 26 27 is the HIGHEST you can get cuz people will not want to RISK for 2 3 thousand dollar difference for a new one. Especially AWD cars if I had a choice I would only risk it if its a 5000 dollar difference which is pretty good.

You should be able to get between $25- $26,000 for it. Have you tried to ask about a trade in. I bet they would only give around $23,000 or so. Put it on EBAY if you have no luck on here!!!

I have sold a Z06, a turbo beetle and an Econoline to Carmax and felt they gave me a fair price each time. Also took a BMW there and got a good price for it too, but sold it to a co-worker for the same price. Give 'em a shot, if you don't like the price sell it yourself.

I figured I would be able to get 28 for it still but since I can't I'm just going to keep it. The only complaint I have is that I don't like driving Manual 100% of the time. Which is why I'm going to keep the car but not drive it as my main car all the time. Instead I'm going to spend a couple thousand and get a Automatic car thats good on gas just to tool around in and Soup up the Evo for Car shows and ****. Keep my JDM cover on it for most the time. Sound like a good plan instead of losing money selling it guys?

you came to your senses. Good move. You will take a big loss selling it especially only a few months old. I went through many new cars and lost thousands. Now I will not part with the Evo. It will probably be around like some old man keeps a '57 Chevy. Once the warranty is up, it's a project/second car.

I recently test drove a used 405hp Z06 while my car was getting recall work done. In a wholesale to wholesale deal I had them give me a buy price of $24-25k for sunroof and spoiler w/ 10k miles against $38 k for a 2002 Z06 with 12k miles.
I felt this was actually where it would come in knowing they also had a total of four new Evos in inventory with $1k cash-back.
Considering the availability and the cash-back factors, and dealers discounting cars, I think a fair entry-point for selling an Evo with your options and miles on the open market is about $26,500- $26,995. Be ready to negotiate a little but know your limits.
Btw- Selling your car for a song just helps drive the value down for everyone. Thats something that may be good for the buyer, but its a ounch in the stomach for you, and overall deflating the value hurts everyone that owns an Evo.
Remember theres a buyer for everything!

with a little searching, new evo's can be purchased for about $28,500 i think. That would make a used one worth about $26k tops...... I debated selling mine (but came to my senses), but with 6k miles and mostly worn out tires, i would be lucky to get $24k ini my opinion.
