Sorry to say but your wrong about the teflon process. It bonds to the paint in much the same way that it bonds to carpet (teflon treated carpet) from my understanding it creates a molecular bond with the surface of the paint/carpet with a static charge that is then cured in with a heat gun. I chose to have my car coated after reading up a bit about the process. My car has never been waxed and the water beads and runs off when it rains, road dust/dirt does not stick to the side of my car. It also prevents the color from fading due to sun exposure. I have had my car for 4 months now and it still beads in the rain and is very difficult to get dirty. All i do is wash the car with car wash and water then dry and it looks like i just spent hours waxing and still repels dirt and water. All in all i think it is well worth the money imo.
