Yes or no and pls explain
Is the Evo9 the last of the "true" Mitsubishi. Since the X has an engine made from a joint venture of other companies and the 8 and 9 don't, is it a "true" Mitsubishi. Since they are putting the same engine on a Hyundai Genesis coupe is the X a Hyundai or the Hyundai a X? It was hard to explain to a friend of mine who was thinking of buying a X and found out that the Genesis uses the same engine but detuned.

It's not the last "true" Mits. The Evo is always going to evolve. The 9 is the last Evo with the 4G63 Iron Block. People were hesitant on how much power the 4B11 aluminum block can handle. It's looking promising for now. We'll see it hit can hit 500whp with the stock lower end.
