Import kills brain cells, that's the only reason I can think of for saying you think import smells better then e85.

Congrats on the numbers and hope you reach your goals. I'm the type that likes to make the absolute most out of what I have before moving onto the next round of mods as well. I usually change a bunch all at once though and then spend the rest of the season perfecting the setup.

The weather is perfect, not a cloud in the sky. The track goes green at 5:30 for our next attempt to break into the 11's... can't wait.

I agree about trying to get the absolute most out of what we do, before moving on. I heard about a post somewhere that questioned why we would take the hard way of getting into the 11's. Simply put, it's precisely why we enjoy doing it this way. It's not the easy way, but certainly rewarding when we lower our times and raise our mph. Since we've both been involved in extreme cars, we know how to get there with little effort and lots of parts. We're only trying to minimize the parts and work hard on the driving and tune. After we feel that we've got a firm grip on the mods and they can be repeated on other cars, we'll do our best to fill in any gaps that may be missing. Tonight may be the last time we go with our current mods. Good luck Jim.

added: By the way, Jim is larger than most drivers. If another 160lb driver were in the seat, it would already be in the 11's. Jim weighs about 250 and carries his spare tire, jack, laptop and sometimes dogbed. The weight reduction of another driver and no spare tire could easily drop 150 lbs. 150lbs = a minimum of .10-.15 improvement in the ET.

was this to keep the mods at a minimum level or do you guys feel that changing/upgrading the intake pipe is not that beneficial in a stock turbo car? TIA!
