ARC Heatshield

Quick question...

I just recently ordered an ARC heatshield for my IX and I wanted to know if anyone knows where I can get stainless bolts that are the same size as the stock bolts. I dont want to have issues with rust on the ARC and would ratherbuy new bolts before the install.

Any suggestions...

stainless steel bolts are available at any decent hardware store

If the heatshield is titanium, it will not rust.

Anti seize stainless hardware, and don't over-tighten. Stainless loves to gall and break. I'd go with some nice cadmium coated or chrome/polished steel blots or cap screws.

i think he means he doesnt want the nasty rust on stock bolts on the arc piece.

I wouldn't get Stainless hardware as someone else above stated....loves to gall! I'd also go with plated hardware.

I've been looking for NAS or AN Metric fasteners for a while. You might check out www.coastfabrication.com and give them a call to see what they have.
