I used a hair dryer and floss for the old badge and then got the rest of the glue off with this sap/tar remover from auto zone. I don't remember the brand but I'm sure there are a million kinds available.

the best stuff I have found to take off anything from paint is this stuff from auto stores that is like a bug and tar remover. I swear it will wipe anything off like its water. Amazing stuff. Ill look at the label tonight though. Its in a bright green spray bottle.
If you cant find that, goo gone, or goof off or whatever works well too

GooGone plus one of those yellow plastic scrapers you find at autozone in the detail department. Squeeze a lot of googone above the badge and allow gravity to pull it behind the badge. then gently use the soft plastic scraper and the badge should come off with all the glue. Be patient. If you still have excess, use a rag and some more and wipe out the glue. And no, that dosent scratch your car because its soft plastic and it should be flat so you dont gouge your paint.

I have on my BMW and I was scared. What I did was heat up the badge first with a hair dryer. Put goo gone on the top of the letters or whatever you want gone, let it "eat" at the adhesive for about 20 seconds (you can probably do more but I was worrted) and then take (what I had) tooth floss or fishing wire, if you have and go from the top of the letter down and do a left to right motion like your "sawing" it off. Then after each piece I wiped it off and cleaned it and then put a little more on the next one and continue. I don't know how abrasive it is on paint but it worked out fine on a new cars paint.
