lol
u obviously doesnt know about what u are talking
its a simple equation
the evo X cost around 29k new for one now
why would anyone get a second hand evo that cost abit less
i know, theres all the talking about evo 8 and 9 being raw
i admit
the evo 8 and 9 is more for those that are into rawness or whatever
but look
when u step inside a new car with new technology and whatever and look at the big picture
u wont wanna choose an evo8 and 9 that cost just few thousand less
for the supra
they apreciate because they are the last batch
there is no Supra Mark 5
thats why they appreciate
if and only if mitsubishi stop making evo and stop their production
i can see the price of evo going up
but for now
sorry
nope

For VII's, VIII's and IX's I do firmly believe it will. These were the Evo's best years with the most aftermarket support ( correct me if I am wrong).

Another boy richy talking out his A$$ your a idiot if you bought a car thinking it was going to end up like a old comic book and gain in value. you buy a car to get you from point A to B thats all its good for. if you like to collect them fine but you should never buy any car evo included with the hopes that it will raise in value. Remember anything is only worth what another is willing to pay for it. so if sources tell you its only worth 12 dollars then guess what thats what we as buyers are going to go off of all the information availbe to determine how much we are comfortable with paying. if you decided i want more then 12 dollars then thats your choice just stop b!tching that others around you are selling and yours is still sitting. Eventually you will adjust to whats going on around you and get with the program or LEAVE as Mr. Smikeevo has suggested.

Oh shutup.

I dont really care about my cars.
Ill always get my money back And then some

I just dont like seeing people cry about how their cars are losing value and see them buy them for 30 and sell for 21-22k.

As for my car, dont worry. Obviously, I have a reconstructed title car. Im not expecting to get anywhere near its retail, nor current market value.

As for leaving, I will be attending university of Poznan in Poland.
Then most likely stay there.

man.. no wonder you talk like this, you weren't even old enough for college yet.
Anyways, a car is something that will lose 15-20% of its value right after you drove it off the lot. It is the same thing about luxurious watches, the price will go up every year but when you are trying to sell it the price is still low. Unless you have some rare watches that only had about 50 production in the past 50 years, then the price will go sky rocketing high. It is not the same with evo. It doesn't matter how many crashed evo are out there, the remainder of the evo will lose its value because of depreciation. Anything old will lose its value. Another example can be my 50 inch plasma television. When i bought mine i spent almost 10000 dollars on one, and the price gets lower and lower and lower because newer models keep coming out. It doesn't matter if only 100 units were produced, new > old, and it is the same for cars. Collectibles are expensive because its craftsmanship and rarity, and evo doesn't go into this category.

... I think that the IXs value will eventually fluctuate in a similar fashion what what S13/S14 cars are doing now....

I get the point already guys. No need to point out. It will depreciate, i know, oh well.

This is why I NEVER would buy a new car. Used, or a Wreck, si the best way to go. Fix it, and save money..

Unless you overpay for it as in my case, but oh well ;P

Most cars like these will hit a bottom and go no lower: Supra, RX-7, 92-95 Civic Hactchback, Integra Type-R, etc

Those old civic's still cost some money sometimes for a good condition one.
I mean, normally they sell from 1500-2500.. But Ive seen some lower mileage bone stock and clean ones going for upwards of 5 or 6k.

Type-R's, same thing.
I do love the look of the Type-R though, the JDM one.

The VIII's and IX's are holding better resale value than the X's thats for sure, newer doesn't always mean better. The last gen evo's are gonna be one of the most popular models.

Please keep your mouth shut and mind your own business.

Im slowly starting to realize why people call Evo owner's ignorant so much.

Leave this thread as it is, and stop posting guys. Apparently its impossible to get anything through these thick heads some of you have.

Thanks.

And yeah billyblonco, your right. I have seen the X's go from 40k in the past year down to 26-27-28-29K..
Unbelievable.

EDIT; not trying to be harsh to you guys who actually provided some useful information and a good argument. Thankyou for being helpful. As for the rest of you who have nothing to do but act as tough guys over the internet, I pitty you.

Anyways, lets end the discussion where it is. Thanks!

The problem is you have an ignorant attitude when it comes to the economics of this country, made worse by your admitted advantages and age. You are going to get flamed with you comments on $#!t you don't know about.

You're taking you limited experience of the world which has been skewered by your privileged upbringing and talking to the rest of us who have actually live life. It actually is similar to a slap in the face. LOL. But you won't get it so I digress.
