Dash lights go off when headlights are on

any suggestions, I checked all the fuses. I'm stumped.

You try fiddling with the ignition switch? This is a wild guess, but since the dash lights come on regardless of whether the lights are on or off when the ignition is turned on..... Well you gotta start somewhere.

Sounds like a relay issue or maybe even a harness plug has come undone. I ran into this problem a while back with my RX7 and found a small plug under the kick panel had worked itself loose by about 1/16th of an inch. Plugged it back in and didn't have the problem again...thanks to mr. ziptie.

I bet that's the culprit. I've seen that problem several times and each time it was a bad dimmer switch. Get a new one...

Are you sure you dont have the dashlights dimmed all the way down on the dial in front of your left knee? sounds dumb, but Ive seen it before....

^ yea checked the switch, all seems good. Im gona borrow another switch to see if that solves it.

I acutally havn't had a chance to borrow one yet I guess the other thing I should add is that I just had a new motor put in -- not sure if it is realted though.
