Weird Issues with IX

hey i was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is normal? When my car is cold and i start it it sounds like one of my pumps or pulleys makes a weird noise almost like it has no grease or bearings are gone, but it only does it when the car is cold and when i drive it for about a mile or less it goes away. Also if i WOT and push the clutch in and take it out of gear the rpms drop to about 3 and stay there until my speed drops or i push the clutch back in. But if im easy on the throttle and bring it to even 7k and put it into neutral it drops down to idle. My car still has warranty on it so i just want to know if this normal or should i go to the dealer?

lol I am seriously looking for the same exact issue right now as we speak. My car squeaks like crazy and i took a closer look at my pulley and this is what I found. What the heck is it? anyone pleaseee!!!? Its an evo ix with 32K on it. just bolt on mods and a tune. Did not even miss with the pulleys or the belts yet.

My pulley used to squeal like that. Stopped recently probably because of the warm weather. I'd say the squeal is normal because many others have it.

For the last 6 months or so, I have been trying to figure out where a loud "whistle" has been coming from, only on cold starts... I thought it was a leak somewhere, but leak free. This sounds very similar to my "whistle" I noticed (happened once) after a few single gear pulls, w/ out shifting, (just dropping it into nuetral) that my rpm's hung up for a second...

I was told, that this was normal... the whistle, any way

Try putting some belt dressing on your belts. Belts are just like tires. When they're cold they are rock hard and do not grip. Once they warm up they become soft and they gain traction. From your description it sounds like the belts are making a little noise until they soften up. 30k is a little soon to do belts. They probably aren't cracked yet, just showing signs that they are starting to get tired. No big deal. Just spray belt dressing on them.

Benniboi08 is that the belt that also drives the a/c compressor? The brown looks like clutch material from the a/c compressor clutch. Happens to many cars. Belt dressing for you too. You should also check to see if the compressor clutch is slipping or chattering. It may need to be re shimmed, but I doubt it.
