The rear facing we had was chico, it was big and it fit fine no seat moving needed. My wife has a safety 1st convertible its a pain to put in or take out. It is nice but my recaro is better as far as installing, my daughter is 17 months and she never fusses or anything in either seat. The recaro was right around 250 the safety 1st was 230. Both got great ratings but if we ever buy another seat it will be another recaro. The recaro is very well made in my experience and has strap comfort covers, comfort cover that goes on the lower buckle so it doesnt rub the kids legs if they are in shorts, also it has a nice lumbar support, and the head side impact wing are nice.

I was actually wondering about this because my girl friend is expecting and we were looking at the baby seats and I wasnt sure about the amount of room in the back seats with a baby seat

I've been taking my daughter in my EVO8 since she was a few months old... She is now 3 years old and she loves it... The low rumble of my HKS Exhaust puts her sleep on long car rides... It has way more room back there than my wifey's IS250... No shame in the EVO with babyseat in the back!

I have this one.... my daughter (age 2) LOVES to ride in the seat. It's easy to remove/install and adjust.
