The mixture of materials must have a high energy dispersion properties (acts like a heat sink, disperses away)... similar to brake disk metalurgy.

What about duplicolor engine enamel w/ ceramic (tm)? I currently have my licp (nisei) off the car and was thinking about giving it a coat of the stuff. I thought it would insulate the pipe but then I read on the back that it's a thermal dispersant. Now, do thermal dispersants only help to radiate heat in one direction? As in away from the part sprayed? I just don't want to exacerbate heat soaking of the licp. Should I do it?
