Any design that allows for a more free flowing, suction style intake will be of benifit. The term "cold air" gets tossed around so much that a lot of people thing that it means that the air is a drastically cooler intake charge. In reality, it simply means "colder than inside the engine bay" air intake. The stock ram air is nice and all, but if you remove the plumbing and install an open element air filter, it will still flow air into the same home that the stock air guide once occupied. that stock air scoop doesn't display the properties of a venturi tube or anything.

Would a snow plow front end help out top end???
