Sounds horrible, but if it is the worst day of your life consider yourself lucky!
I hope you and your friend heal well and quickly.
Recently, a friends evo was totaled. He got more than he paid for it almost a year beforehand to the day and wound up getting a great deal on an X. Things worked out really well for him, and they can for you to.
Speeding or not, if no one got it on a radar gun they have 0 proof. If that is the case and someone did not obey the right of way you will get paid out.
Make sure when everything is settled you leave some choice comments about the officer trying to put words in your mouth and extract a false confession.

good luck with the outcome. hopefully they are able to sort it out for you and get at least a similar car for you as a replacement. if it wasnt your fault, should be evident... it is unfortunate that because you are young, and the performance characteristics of the car you were driving you are immediately stereotyped.

its seems all the time when a import car is involved with something, 'automatic guilty" of speeding. everyday i see regular cars blasting past me all the time. Its like when you drive an evo its your fault no matter what. sitting still an evo looks like its moving 1000mph to people.
Especially if they hear your exhaust, this really ticks people off. Dont let this get ya down man, good luck.

sorry so far not at all im waiting on the insurence to do further investigations because im trying to see what i can get because i will not accept 10k for my car. what i told them was fix my car with a clean title and no salvage history as it was or buy me one exacly the same or better because i will not accept 10k for my 30k car its rediculouse how they dont wanna pay up like insurences dont have money when they charge about what all of us with evos around 300bucks a month come on its rediculouse when they say they dont have money but its easy for them to raise the insurence cost for no reason.. im still fighting bro thanks for all the support if i end up getting 10k i will assure u im going to a property damage lawyer and wont stop untill they pay me for the whole car wish me luck and let me kno what you guys think thanks everyone i really regret not paying full coverage so do my parents i lost my dream car
