I miss my S2000's exhaust note too, but my Buschur "Quiet" Magnaflow sounds pretty deep and manly.

My Works exhaust doesn't sound bad at all and it's fairly quiet. It has a nice, low rumble and if the throttle position is just right at higher revs, it gets an Italian-like ripping canvas reverb. I'm very happy with it.

Word for all - no street racing posts, no WOT through the gears on the street, or launching on the street.

Thanks.

I have two suggestions for you,

1) Get an external dump
2) Buy a Subaru

i'm perfectly happy with my 3" ams exhaust, but i don't build around looks or sound.. i prefer function over form for what i build.

although nothing will replace the insanely loud hi-pitched whine my blower gave off on my 03 cobra with it's loud azz o/r 3" midpipe to 3" borla stinger catback (no muffler's)

I happen to like my AMS tbe with test pipe. It sounds pretty mean especially at wot. Don't get me wrong my Subaru sounds a hell of a lot better though.

I love the sound of that S4 but i actually liked the 5 cylinder motor better. The 20v motor was by far the best motor Audi ever made.

I might try an open wastegate but more importantly I'll switch out my HKS. It's actually just a HKS canister, the rest was replaced with a full 3 inch pipe and removed resonator.

Someone mentioned the exhaust note changing as the rev's climb . That's one of my complaints. The car doesn't exhibit any difference in sound, it's monotone almost with the exhaust I have on.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Not an Audi fan but that sounds super nice.

I've always liked the way inline 6's sound Bimmer's, Lexus's. I like the way hemi's sound uncorked as well.

I'm ok with my hamsters.
