I run that stuff in my old pickup and in the wifeys Jeep, and when I ran gas in the Evo I used the lucas or 44k. I love lucas and I have a workforce of mechanics who stand behind lucas. BG is better IMO but expensive, Lucas does the job for one fifth the price.

Lucas is a quality product. My cousin that has an Evo 8 in New York uses it and swears by it...

My spelling really sucked on the first post....

Anyway, I'm just asking because I'm unsure how exactly it works as a fuel system cleaner. I can see it working as a fuel system lubricant, but not as a fuel injector cleaner. I dont personally use it, but have to sell it. Just wanting everyone opinions on it, so I dont sell something that is crap.

By the way... I use BG products... and also use Marvel Mystery Oil when I run E85 (just to give the pump a little more lubrication).

My advice is to not use any fuel injector cleaner unless you need it. The stuff can be pretty aggressive. However, like when my wife's old Pontiac developed an unexplained miss it can be a miracle worker or at least the easiest repair I ever made.

If you read what the 44k does and how it works, the Lucas does the same thing.

BG has Data Sheets for all of their products. Tells you what it is, how it works, how to use it... All in DETAIL. Lucas just has whats on the bottle. I've tried getting more information by calling their Vender hotline, and got the same info as on the bottles.

I've never used Lucas. You know the little Lucas Oil Treatment display at parts stores? Well I took one apart, put in normal GL4, and turned a drill up to 10,000RPM... very little foam. Then I tried again, except with 20% Lucas.... it was complete foam after about 3 seconds. I'm not sure if it has a lot of detergent or what... but I'm not going to put something in my engine/trans/diff that will foam up.

I would say this product is not needed if you stick with shell v power or techron gasolines.

When in use in my old pickup I use 10% less fuel and it runs smoother. That is a 37yr old engine though. My wifes Jeep has no noticeable difference and I never run additive in the Evo, E85 baby.
