Evo 9 tranny replacement question

I have an 2006 Evo 9 Se and need to replace the tranny and transfer case.

Does anyone know what other year Evo models tranny and transfer case will fit my Evo?

i believe you can switch it to a 6spd ( MR ) or stay with the normal 5 spd (RS,GSR,SE)

I want to switch to a 5 speed! I still have my 6 speed! If you swop from 6 to 5 or from 5 to 6 you have to swop everything else out like shift cables and shifter etc... You should just look for a good deal on a shep tranny!

I was going to suggest going to a more stout tranny, like a Shep. If you have an 06 and are already needing a replacement then I think you'd be happier going with something other than stock.
