Help about hks bov
I was wondering if i could take off the hks bov on my upper piping. Bought it off this dude and the bov was flanged onto the upper intercooler pipe already. Could i somehow take it off? Or put a new bov on there?

yes you can take it off, if you look close there is a c-clamp holding it on the flange. Problem is what are you going to put in its place? Unless you buy a different pipe, or use stock uicp and mount the hks bov to your intake.

I say go with aftermarket hard piping, not the stock because its half pipe and half mesh hose. So just get a complete set of intercooler piping and I've heard the tial is the best bov. I'm running hard pipes with the hks bov mounted on the pipe but its recirculating back to the intake. Runs great for me.

If you running Stock ECU and depending on the year of the car I would suggest going with a stock style BOV/DV. The problem with running VTA even if you car doesn't stall(some won't) when you shift your dumping excessive fuel thus wasting gas. I had the HKS on for a while and a few things I noticed was part throttle boost the HKS would pull then I would get a violent bucking. I would go with APS twin vent. IMHO the bost stock style bov you can run. Ask Mellon he is runniing it to 40psi holds boost just fine. I'm going to be changing my setup and be running meth with 30-35psi and I know I will have no isses with the APS....

I had the same "throttle boost the HKS would pull then I would get a violent bucking" problem, recirculated it and problem gone. Runs like a champ.
