Is the factory dead pedal too thick/tall?

Is it me or is the dead pedal to tall/thick? I can't stretch my leg all the way out. If I move the seat back, then I will not be able to depress the clutch all the way to the floor. What I do sometimes is put my foot under the clutch. Any opinions?

EDIT: I'm just talking about cruising, but I guess for performance driving it is in a good location.

It's you. If you're driving on the track you don't want your foot down below the clutch pedal. The current position is perfect for performance driving.

only time this has been an issue is driving the car for 3+ hours. In these long distance trips, if my leg starts bugging, i just cross it under my right leg...prob solved till the need to shift arises

I'm 5 foot 7. I consider myself of average height and I don't have any problems. Unless you are Yao Ming or something......

Yeah. LOL.

The dead pedal is supposed to provide stability while driving ( performance driving). certainly not there to stretch out-- should be able to gain access to the clutch asap and the bent leg does the trick.
