I have tried to remove the side parts and it started cracking and poping so i stoped should i get a heat gun on my evo 8 wing and then try and what did you all use to pry the side parts off?

I just pulled hard, and it came off, first I was scared to break it. But keep pulling steadily and it will come off. They are not glued together, at least not on a ix. They are attached with some sort of velcro. Don't use a heatgun.

I've heard the velcro thing from a few different people now
The key seems to be to pull straight up, slowly and hard. Don't bend it or push it out to the side or anything and it will come up. Using a heat gun could heatup the glue that the velcro is used to adhere to the car itself, I wouln't use a heat gun. Just pull but gently.
