No Cobra, no Lotus... Even though I like seeing the EVO it looks like they left out some cars that should have made the top 10 even if it pushed the EVO off.

 

The Lotus is a good addition to the list, but the Cobra is not. I've owner almost every American "muscle", and can tell you they don't hold a candle to the Evo's overall performance. Sorry, a 3800lb drag queen is not a Top 10 "Sports Car" candidate.

 

A younger writer must have chimed in during an editorial meeting to get the Evo in there... If it was because an older guy knew about it, I'd be shocked (mainly due to the lack of mainstream exposure - how many 50+ yr-old guys play Gran Turismo??).

They must mean the Evo 6 and Evo 7, because the USDM Evo 8 certainly isn't a "great" sports car, with it's cheap paint, cheap clutch and lack of super-ayc.

The Evo 7 and 6 are in an entire different class of Sports Car, not without MAJOR reconfigurations will the Evo 8 ever been mentioned in the same breath. The design isn't classic, or timeless or cutting edge, it's butt-ugly from grill to altezza's. Sorry but it's the truth, when they designed the Evo 8 the designer was on crack.

 

Man, first car I thought about seeing is the GT-R, but I guess they are only going with USDM cars. I don't car what anyone says the RB26DETT is probably the best inline 6 in the world. And trust me, I don't put skylines up on a pedistol just cuz they are skylines. I used to have one and they really aren't all that. Too overhyped. A skyline is the civic over here. They are everywhere. And 4 door skylines are fugly. Still a great car though. Glad the evo made the list though.
