Tint tail lights have you used this?

hey i was wondering if anyone has used this product before

It's a great way to do it. Make sure your earlier coats are from a distance and your later ones are closer to make them shine...otherwise they come out dull.

do you have any pictures of tailights finished? also would you sugest the clear coat?

use lots of very light coats with a stage of wet-sand about every 3 coats. also let them cure fully prior to the next coat or you might get it so dark that you wont be able to see the lights.

I used this on my old 350z..do a bunch of light coats then clear coat it..if u mess up u can fix it with rubbing alcohol..

i used that to smoke out my 3rd tail on my OZ. worked quite well.

I would reccomend getting vinyl oerlays that can be applied like window tint. That stuff will be much more easy to damage and chip. I found mine on ebay but i have since taken them off after getting 3 tickets. Another benifit of the vinyls is that you can easily remove them if need be.

So you can take it off with rubbing alcohol if need be?

I went with the laminix film on mine. Looks great no problems. Went on in about 10 min.

VHT stuff works well. Takes a little elbow grease but I think its a solid product.

just finished my other tails.. took me about 4 hours total (not including dry time). Make SURE you hit it with some gloss clear coat as you will NOT be satisfied with the metioker dull black it gives off. I still ended up power polishing it like crazy when i was done and they now look like mirrors. They came out perfectly and i love the look. would recomend to anyone when done PROPERLY. don't over doo this though, serious cop issues for all you evo dudes that arent on the first name basis with the local po po's

they look and work great but are illegal in some states. :/
