Does the front crashbeam still function as designed even on lowered evos? Would it even be worth keeping if it isnt functional? I think it would still operate as it was designed, but I am asking this to get input from anyone who might know more.. Thanks.

it will work as its designed if IT hits something, but if you drive under a bus and the bumper takes out the hood and all that stuff then NO it wont work the way its designed to work because the car its too low, but as for what CHAOTICHOAX said, definatley correct, insurance will not process ur claim if thats not on ur car.

True. Car is not a DD, but do occasionaly drive it around town. I think I would keep it on then. Even though it barely gets driven around, that would probably be the one time I get in an accident.

I just got to thinking because I took the front bumper off to get easier access to install my new ets uicp. Saw the front crashbeam and started thinking. But ya, like it was said, accidents are called that for a reason.

theres a pretty good chance you cant fit a crash beam on a jacked up front end - things dont tend to line up after a crash

To reply to the original question of this thread: Lowering the car has nothing to do with the functionality of the crash beam. Keep it on, or you will inevitably regret it.

yes its works if you hit a low enough object or your buddy lowered car . Dont dream about safety when you hit an SUV or so
defenietly will help to keep your intercooler safe at a low speed impact

I personally believe that this is a no-brainer. Do you chance doing additional damage to your front end and not being covered by your insurance company if you remove your front crash bar or do you keep it on and protect the front end like it's supposed to be?

i never heard any got denied because they he or she missing a crash beam.
I can be wrong , but i din't not see any proof of that yet.
Other hand, i know people who got covered and they where missing a crash beam.
