03 evo with 33k miles just got rear ended yetsterday

03 evo with 33k miles just got rear ended yetsterday

Yea it sucks i know but maybe some good things will come out of this right anyone had some good luck with insurance getting new bumpercover and new trunk maybe carbon? i did a search but everything was old and wouldnt work half the time

it does suck i got rear ended as well about a month ago. Only the rear bumper had to be replaced. It worked out good for because the paint on my rear bumper was starting to go

Should have no problem since it's not your fault. Take it to the body shop you want to do the work and tell them what you want to do. You might have to pay a little extra $$ for the cf trunk but other than that should be good to go.

i got rear ended and car was cut in half, now its more stable then ever auto cross ftw lol

I . . . rear ended some one else lol . . . Insurance paid to fix everything but since its my fault im sure ill be paying them back over the next what 7 years of increased insurance. Just be glad it was the back and not your fault, the front is where all the $$ is...1200 per headlight.

yea seriously lol doing damage in the front area could net you 10k plus and a totalled car if to high

when i got rear ended i got a cf trunk for cheaper than i would have paid for the oem trunk

That's usually the way it works. OEM is always crazy expensive. You'll save money on paint too if you are not going to paint your cf trunk.

yea i got a estimate today of 2797$ there was alot of damage behind the bumper and said it would prob go up once they got that off there! I wanted the cf trunk but he said that they would just have to repair what i have and i was like damn i want a new trunk its not that bad but i dont want bondo on my car especially if it wasnt my fault cheapest ive found a cf trunk was like 615 shipped and there going to get me the jdm bumper from the 9 if he can find one i found one on here from vendor already painted i just hope he can order it for me

^^ don't tell them that it omits the rear stock crash beam - they probably won't be buying it then.

tell them to not spend the money to fix your trunk and just buy the CF and then just pay the difference. im sure your estimate will go up more. mine was about $15,800 to fix. and no thats not a typo. my car got messed up real bad but you would never have been able to tell just by looking at pictures. its always alot worse than you think
