well i'm looking at moving up from my 06 RA and picking up an evo IX in the spring once i'm back from overseas but i have a couple questions and best place to get first hand answers i figure is right here... so feel free to weigh in on the cause and help me get the ball rolling


1) debating between the IX SE and MR whats the pro/cons of each and which would be better

2) looking to put the power in the 400-500whp range as a daily driver but will see some time attack/lappin events and probably a little drag racing every once and a while.

so curious which parts, and which companies to go with

Only TRUE difference is the 6 speed VS 5 speed.
I would take a 5 speed evo hands down every time.. I enjoy driving my buddies 6 speed because of the low RPM in 6th.

For that HP level both cars are OK.. The 6 speed is known to have issues under high HP applications...

Get it while you can SE models are getting tougher to find

thanks, i've heard there was an issue with the 6 speeds but its only a real problem at high hp then?
