Hi,

I'm not an expert at all and probably pointing out the obvious. Did you check spark plug gap?

Good luck

I don't think it's the spark plug gap because I had my local tuner guy install the new plugs and I'm pretty sure he gapped them correctly. I don't think it's the clutch because I'm not changing gears when the hesitation occurs.

take it back to the dealer and have them fix the car, only @ 41K and with those minimum mods you should have them do warranty work.

Did you confront the gas station? They should have paid for all the work done.

I live in a very wet area near the ocean. We have a lot of problems with water in the fuel system on cars and boats locally. One of the remedies that is tried and true for getting water out of the fuel is an additive called "Heat".

It helps absorb water and pass it through the engine in a burnable form. It's used in boats a lot.

If you only have a small quantity of water, then the addition of 500mls of dry isopropanol (IPA) to a near-full 30-40 litre tank will absorb the water, and will not significantly affect combustion. Once you have mopped up the water with IPA, small, regular doses of any anhydrous alcohol will help keep the tank dry.

I couldn't find that heat stuff we have locally online but here's a different additive type water remover absorber. I assume they probably all are a type of dry alcohol.

I do believe that after you run seafoam through the car...you're supposed to change the plugs right after...

I'll probably get a new set of plugs and see if that helps. Would I need to get a new set of spark plug wires at 41k?

The symptoms don't really sound like a slipping clutch. There's no mention of a jump in rpm's or a lurching forward after. Maybe he needs to describe the "hesitation" better? Does it misfire or start to stutter/backfire?

Run some heat or other fuel additive that is an actual water remover. Seafoam doesn't say much about water absorption unless I didn't read the right description.
