Problems with Leaving the Car on Jacks?
#16
Just jack the car up.... People have been doing this for years.... Nothing else you need to do...
Change the oil before you start running it again.. Gas will prob be fine, but i would park it with as little as possible then just top it off later and take it easy the first tank...
Cheers!

I've got it in my garage, stays around 55 in there.
Yeah that's what I've been doing all these years, I was just surprised when I heard someone saying it was bad for the suspension.

Leaving the suspension uncompressed actually relieves the system of all loading and is much better foor the shocks springs and bushings. My evo has been in storage for the last 1.5 years in this manner. There is no corrosion on my shocks at all.

Springs in relax state is bad is just a joke.... its their natural position, when your vehicle's suspension is in rebound, is not the limit of its travel, there is an over rebound condition too, which is difficult to achieve. Your bushings will be fine....

Car is on jack stands, tires are off. 1/4 of gas
It's not enough stress to cause permanent stretch in the springs and unless your going through drastic weather changes from hot to cold/humid to dry for several months condensation will not be an issue. The full tank theory came when gas tanks were metal and internal rust was a concern. The gas will go bad before condensation can cause an issue. If you start it every couple of weeks you can keep your oil, it should be changed before storage anyways.
