After paying off credit cards, student loans, and other misc garbage, I had been making quadruple payments on the evo for about 8 months, as well as putting any spare money I had (tax return) towards paying it off...and the final payment came on the month of my birthday. So, for my birthday this year, I bought myself a paid-in-full 2005 evo8 w/ 70k miles on it! Lucky thing, it had all the mods on it I wanted

(ok to look again)
I am familiar with Dave Ramsey, not in total agreement, but understand his concepts. I did the same, and bought an 04 evo in cash... I can't remember the last time I ever had a car payment (or paid for full coverage insurance).
Enjoy the car now that you can say.... drive it like you own it!
