How Much would it cost too....

Ok so recently iv been thinking about rebuilding the evo completely. im talkin forged pistons, rods, 2.3 stroker kit fully worked transmission, and a bigger turbo setup then my stock ix.

iv been thinking about doing this because something else goes wrong every week. i bought the car used and the previous owner definitely beat the hell out of it.

so my question to you guys is if i do decide to do this and not sell the evo, what parts are best? i really dont know much about building the engine and tranny. any input is really appreciated. thanks!

hmmmm - really depends on what turbo setup you wanna go with...

you can buy a RED for $1200 ish.... or you can buy a complete turbo kit from $3000 - $5000

god who am I kidding - unless you got about $10-$15k to make this work with everything your going to need may not be worth it....

but if you decide to do it, you can have one very very healthy ride on your hands....

with the mods in my sig I made 500 whp and 465 lb and from stage 1 to fully built was easily probably $20k I wouldn't even dare to count my reciepts, how about you sharkbit, care to guess...... LOL - NO PLEASE DONT, I WOULD HAVE A HEART ATTACK FOR YOU

but again, easily 10-15k especially if you are having a shop do all the labor and install and such...

Really depends on how much power you want. We have done budget 500whp cars with reasonable amount of prior upgrades for less than 10k, and full build 670-680whp cars with no prior mods for around 25k. Those cars still have more in them to be honest, thats just where they are running around everyday.

Built motor can gives you trouble too. More power = more money = more headche.
I recommand find a shop/tuner and discuss on the phone about your build/goal/price. What is the problems you having every other days?

If you are going to rebuild the transmission and the TC, look up SHEP or TRE. Prices are on their website for the amount of work you want done.

Engine and turbo setup, like above, would recommend you call a reputable shop (AMS, Buschur, etc) and discuss what your goals are

Maybe you can just sell one kidney to pay for it...you only need one right?
