230whp? is this a typo for 330whp?
whats GTECH?
here is my current graph:
mods are tbe, 02 housing, mbc to 23psi, 94 pump tuned by english racing. i broke 300whp with the rest left stock. are we missing something?

i remember a member (say that 10 times fast lol) on here saying that the HP reading on those things is Rear Wheel HP and that it will read low or something like that. I think that thing is only good for 60', 1/4 mile, and 0-60.

i cant dyno test my car because only dyno we have is 2WD , we compared other dyno and gtech results , they was not exactly the same but very close . same GTECH showed 0-100km/h - 4.6sec and 1/4 mile - 13.1 sec
im running on 98 octane fuel
this is device im talking about http://www.gtechpro.com/

What's your trap speed? I don't think you'd be able to do 13.1 quarter or 4.6 second 0-60 with only 230 WHP. It's probably not under reading too much though. Don't forget this is WHP and AWD vehicles have big drivetrain losses. Those mods won't add much HP without a tune if you haven't gotten one yet.

honestly with the mods that you have it sounds about right. the only mods that you have that are making power are the exhaust, mbc, and the intake (though the intake wont make very much). the exhaust manifold doesnt add a whole lot especially if you dont have a o2 housing and downpipe to open up the rest of the exhaust. i suspect that the tune that you have also has something to do with it. if you are running 98 octane fuel ,(where do you get 98 octane from a pump?) you should be able to run more than 20 psi. im running 22psi on 93 oct. also, at what point during getting the mods that you have did the previous owner get the tune, and who did the tune. one more thing. if you are venting your blow off valve to the atmosphere that can cause some power issues as well due to the ecu loading the engine up with fuel because of the blowoff valve venting metered air. just my $.02

so you think with this mods and drivetrain losses its normal to have 300bhp ? what max output can theoretically be?
downpipe is defenately changed , but i dont know what about o2 housing , how can i check it?
i thought evo8 turbines efficiency ends on 22psi , whats the point boosting more?

The only things you have that would even be considered "power mods" are your:
MBC
Intake
Exhaust
ECU Reflash
Get yourself on a real Dyno, either Mustang or DynoJet. Evos are factory rated at approximately 260 AWHP Stock @ 19-21 PSI.
Either that, or you have something wrong with your Evo.

Thats your problem rite there. If your looking strickly for power numbers fork up a couple bucks and get the car on a dyno. If your really trying to see how the car performs take it to the track and see what kind of times you can get, especially the trap speed.

i repeat we dont have any AWD DYNO in our country! thats why im having sex with such devices like gtech , can anybody make some usefull replies ?
im taking my car to track but not drag strip, we dont have it either , i like autocross and circuit racing , if i remember it correct trap speed on street run with gtech was 106 or 107mph

First off stock evo 8's dyno around 225-245 depending on the dyno here in the USA.
Second of all with 98 octane you should get it tuned (someone reputable) for that if that is what you will be running everyday.
As you stated it is tune that was done in the USA most likely for 93 @20 psi ( could have been 23 psi here).
You should be able to have it tuned to 26 or better safely on 98.I would get a set of cams (272's ) and an 02 housing along with a wideband before you get it tuned. This should get you to a minumum of 360+.
There are a few tuners on here that can tune you with a mail in and I am sure they will send you a message.
Ps I know nothing about the g-tec pro and how reliable it is or isn't
Good luck- must be nice to have 98 on the pump
Also do some reading on ecu flash for tuning, I am sure some withj some ecu flash experience will chime in.

i have a similar vehicle, so hopefully i can be of some help. im running 20 psi, have mbc, exhaust, walbro 255 fuel pump, 750 injectors, bigger intercooler and all hard intake piping. ran at the 1/4 mile this past summer and ran 12.8 at 108 mph. as far as the hp, i dont know, the previous owner had it tuned by ams (which i have called and confirmed, but the guy i talked to didnt have the dyno sheet readily available, and i really didnt care about that number, car runs great, so i am leaving it alone until i dig into the car further). but 13.1 sounds about right, and 0-100kmh, 4.6 sec, does not sound too far off either.
