whats a stock 9 turbo sell for

You Abosultely CANNOT get a functioning 9 turbo for $100. You can pick up a FP Green for a bit more than the 9 and the Green would hold boost better up at the top of the RPM Range, but the Evo9 turbo is still good none the less. At max spend $475. Let us know how it goes. Gl with your build.

i dont want a fp black. a fp black is not going to get me over 700 whp. im thinking about buying this turbo cause i can get it for like 100. im going to put it on the car till i have enough money saved to build my motor. i may just buy the turbo and post it up for sale on here if i can make some quick cash off it

That's correct, if it says its 9.8t, it's probably an 03 or 04 evo 8 turbo. The '05 8 turbos had 10.5 turbine housings like the 9. There's another set of numbers stamped onto the compressor housing, iirc, the 8's were 49378-01590, the 9's were 49378-01580
Hope that helps.

Found some IX turbos for sale on here. Some are already sold but just to give you an idea how much they go for.

evo 9 turbo has a 10.5 housing/single flap wastegate/better compressor housing. The evo 9 is a great turbo upgrade for any evo 8. They usually sell here in the market place 400-500 bucks. I wouldn't pay a cent more for one.
Gruppe-s has them for 800 bucks brand new w/an evo 8 install kit with free shipping. That is the best price hands downs that I have seen online.

well if this turbo is to small for you set up why don't you roll with a 8 turbo until u get the motor build and just go to a bigger turbo u want..? why waste the extra cash on a 9 for a few months? when the motor is going to be out anyway? to be built and not driveable? unless i read the whole thread wrong :-D
